O governo do Sri Lanka aprovou uma ordem prá lá de polêmica nesta terça-feira (29) ao proibir o abate de vacas no país asiático de maioria budista.

A decisão, aprovada pelo governo do país com efeitos imediatos, estabelece que como parte da proibição, o país deve alterar a Lei dos Animais, a Portaria do Abate de Bovinos e demais regulamentos relativos ao abate em vigor no país.
